DOUG JENKINS
Bass Guitar / Guitar / Drums / Vocals
DOUG began his musical career in New York where he played various styles of music- Jazz, Rock, Funk, Blues and Classical. He then moved to Utah and had his first exposure to Country music. Doug has continued to develop his skills in a wide range of musical genres. He directs classical music with an Oratorio Choir and is a cofounder of DJ Productions, a Community Theater company. Doug has played with several bands throughout Utah and is often recognized by fans. He has been with PISTOL ROCK since its inception. Doug's driving bass guitar and powerful vocals, combined with his wide musical interests, set PISTOL ROCK apart from the rest.
BRANDON RUBI
Guitar / Vocals
Brandon is originally from the Phillipines. He began playing his older brother's guitar as a teen ager and was quickly recruited into a working band. Brandon moved to the US in 2008 where he has continued his musical career playing rock, jazz and blues. Brandon's blazing fingers coupled with his exposure to a vast array of musical styles give PISTOL ROCK a musical range not found elsewhere.
TOM THOMPSON
Drums
Tommy T. has been banging on the drums since he was 6 years old, but photos confirm he was playing on pots and pans from his Mom’s kitchen since he was 3. Tommy hails from Memphis, Tennessee where he grew up listening to Elvis, the Blues and good ‘ole Rock & Roll from the 80’s. He played snare drum in his High School Marching Band and went on to the University of Alabama where he played snare drum in the “Million Dollar Band”. He also toured 2 summers during High School with a Drum & Bugle Corps - “The Memphis Blues”.
Prior to joining PISTOL ROCK, Tommy T. played in a Classic Rock Cover Band, “Vintage” and a Blues/Southern Rock Band, “River House”, both of which played throughout the Salt Lake Valley.
IAN JAMES
Keyboards / Vocals / Bass
Ian is an accomplished muscian and the youngest member of the band. In addition to keyboards, Ian also plays bass, guitar and drums. He has played with a variety of groups throughout the state since he was in his early teens. Ian's ability to play both sensitive as well as screaming solos, coupled with his energy and drive combine to give PISTOL ROCK a vitality not found in other bands.
LYNETTE BARNES
Manager
Lynette began her career shortly after earning her degree in business. Her love of music enabled her to develop relationships with several musicians and over the years, she has worked with a variety of bands. With a finely honed ear, she provides valuable critiques and helpful insights. Her remarkable PR skills and business sense are part of the driving force behind the success of PISTOL ROCK.
